The brief

The government have provided grant funding to carry out property level resilience works to properties at risk of flooding in Castleford and Pontefract, within Wakefield District.

Wakefield Council commissioned RAB Consultants to carry out property surveys at each of the properties and produce individual reports, recommending specific resilience measures in a bill of quantities.

Wakefield Council requires the services of a qualified contractor to install the recommended measures.

There are two clusters of properties associated with this project, located on Carr Lane, Castleford and Denwell Terrace, Pontefract: • 13 properties on Denwell Terrace • 8 properties on Carr Lane Note: An additional two properties, on Atkinson Lane, Pontefract, are likely to have been added to the scheme by the time of tender award.

The resilience measures bill of quantities for the properties will be made available as soon as possible to all bidders / the successful bidder (depending on survey completion).

The recommended measures are expected to be of a similar specification to those of the other properties on the scheme.

The properties are not available to price for in this tender.

However, the Council expects costs for the additional properties' recommended individual measures to be similar to the others.

Location plans and copies of the property survey reports will be supplied on request.

The digital reports total 61Mb.

A convenient method of providing the digital information to be agreed on request.
