Dorset Clinical Commissioning Group, Dorset HealthCare and Partners are excited to advertise this tendering opportunity for a dynamic, creative provider to deliver two crucial elements of the new Mental Health Acute Care Pathway.
The two elements are part of a whole pathway change that seeks to provide early support for people experiencing self-defined mental health crises.
The two elements are Seven Recovery Beds and Three Community Front Rooms. • The seven Recovery Beds will on two different sites to meet the needs of people in the conurbation area of Bournemouth and Poole and the needs of people in the rest of Dorset.
The split is reflective of the demand for this provision.
The beds are to be alternative to hospital admission and the service will support people through crisis in a setting that is safe, welcoming and like homely. • The Community Front Rooms are safe places for people to go when they are heading towards crisis point.
When they visit they will be able to have time and space and access to support from mental health professionals and peer support workers.
These services will be situated in three rural parts of Dorset and be designed with local communities in mind and in coproduction with local community groups and using community assets.
