West Tofts - Feeder Pillar Install and Re-wire

Supply and installation of new feeder pillar providing a new circuit to 18 accommodation buildings, 4 ablutions, 2 leased 6 stores and 3 offices.

All buildings are single phase apart from one.

For this work many trenches will need to be excavated for the cabling underground.

Due to the amount of current cables, gas and water pipes which run in all directions around the camp, all trenches will be Vacuum excavated.

For areas of hard standing which cannot be vacuum excavated hand digging will need to be carried out.

Cat scanning will need to be conducted.

A cost option will need to be provided for underground ducting including Draw rope.

No trenches can be left uncontained, or accessible due to civilians and MOD staff walking around the areas.

All contractors will be required to complete their own calculations and design work which clearly shows the requirements on cables sizes, Cable selection, Circuit designs, Protective devices, Isolators.
