Green deal registration and oversight body

Modification Notice Original description: The objective of this ITT is to procure an oversight body to act on behalf of the DECC Secretary of State to administer the requirements for oversight of the Green Deal, as set out in the Energy Act 2011.

This will include the authorisation of participants and monitoring compliance with the Code of Practice.

The contractor will also administer the oversight functions in relation to the EPBD accreditation schemes for energy assessors on behalf of the Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government.

Description of the modifications This notice is to advise that the original contract has been extended until 30/6/17 (i.e. a total length of 5 years). the cost of the final year of extension was £519,361 (keeping well under under the original adertised maximum budget of £8.7m).

Description of the economic or technical reasons and the inconvenience or duplication of cost preventing a change of contractor: The original ITT stated "The contract will run for three years, with options to extend a further two years, subject to review at the end of year 3 and each subsequent year.".

This change is simly to extend the contract for the 5th and final year.
