The brief

The University of Plymouth wishes in engage a broker to provide Insurance mediation services, in the areas of marine, cyber, Engineering, Art, Travel, crime and one-off covers.

The broker will be required to be authorised by the FCA.

The broker shall provide to the University a nominated Account manager and claims handler who can give advice and guidance when required on the policies arranged by them.

The broker will be required to meet with the University's insurance officer as and when reasonably required to develop a strategy as the basis for negotiations with insurers for renewals and new policies.

The successful broker will have an annual renewal meeting with the University to review it future insurance requirements, to advise on matters such as adequacy of indemnity limits, coverage etc. and update University officer of underwriting information where necessary.

To produce a written report of all meetings and collate underwriting data concerning exposures.

The broker should also be able to advise and help with negotiations on contentious claims.
