The brief

Interim Business Manager/Service Manager (Parks and Grounds Maintenance) Rate of Pay: Band J- £26-£28per hour or a day rate in excess of around £300-£400 depending on experience. (Inside IR35) Hours: Full time hours Location: Working from home but, presence will be required at Taylors Lane/Shidas Lane/Council House Start Date: ASAP Contract type: Agency to cover long-term sickness initially 3 months with a possible extension Job Description and Personnel Specification are attached, which also provides more information above the role.

Brief description: Within this role you would be responsible for the development and delivery of the council's parks and grounds maintenance service.

You would be expected to make key decisions at an authority wide, regional and national level.

Duties include to develop strategies and manage people and other resources to deliver the priorities and objectives or as otherwise directed.

To effectively manage the provision of high quality services across the borough, addressing and improving customer expectations in collaboration with key stakeholders.

Knowledge and relevant experience in relation to legislation specific to the service area e.g. landscape design and management, horticulture, parks and countryside, Green Flag status and lottery funding is essential.

Candidates must be able to demonstrate experience of strategic service planning.

Operational presence is required at site's to oversee management of staff.

We require candidates who are experienced, experience of working with elected members would be required.
