Markets software
Wolverhampton City Council is looking for a Market software solution which will enable the markets team to effectively manage the citys retail markets.
The key services offered by the markets team are: • Allocate licensed traders to each market and any casual traders who arrive on the day or pre-book their space with an average of 70,000 individual bookings per annum. • Retain an accurate account for each trader showing fees raised for each market and the payments they have made. • Accurately record trader's attendance/non-attendance and holidays booked. • Four Area Market Managers manage the traders and account's, and one General manager carries out regular audits and reports of the system. • Payment machines to enable traders to manage their accounts and make payments.
The solution will enable the markets team to: • Enable handheld devices to link to the systems to allow managers to effectively manage accounts and allocations in real time and away from the office. • Provision to provide full statement of accounts for each trader. • Provide receipts for each payment made by traders. • Retain any documents required to enable them to trade e.g., insurance and flag when this is due to expire and prevent any further allocations if this has expired. • To manage accounts activity: including account status amendments, invoicing/receipting and managing payments • Effectively manage its customer relationships: create online contacts • Generate key reporting: including required reporting and dashboard information relating to income and occupancy The purpose of this Preliminary Market Consultation (PMC) is to seek input from potential suppliers within the market, to establish how the Council can manage the Markets services efficiently on one system that allows activities to be dealt with quickly and confidently.
