PROVISION OF PRIMARY MEDICAL SERVICES – ABERDEEN CITY 2C PRACTICE

In accordance with the terms of the National Health Service (Scotland) Act 1978 Section 17J (as amended), submission of a business case from suitably qualified parties are hereby requested for the provision of Primary Medical Services through a General Medical Services contract in Aberdeen City Centre for up to 36,100 patients of 6 partnership-managed 2C practices, as detailed below: Lot 1- Camphill Medical Practice Lot 2- Carden Medical Practice Lot 3- Marywell Medical Practice Lot 4- Old Aberdeen Medical Practice Lot 5- Torry Medical Practice Lot 6- Whinhill Medical Practice (interested parties required to comply with the relevant terms of the National Health Service (Scotland) Act 1978, as amended, including & specifically Section 17L).
This is a significant opportunity for any interested party to hold a General Medical Services Contract for an established registered population(s).
The detailed contractual requirements will be reflective of the 2018 Scottish General Medical Services Contract.
This requirement has arisen due to a desire to remodel the 2C GP Practices to ensure the sustainability of General Practice across the City.
Interested bidders are free to bid for more than one lot at a time.
The successful contractor will be expected to deliver the full range of core general medical, additional, and enhanced services, currently offered and in line with the new GMS contract and Aberdeen City Health and Social Care Strategic Plan.
