The brief

Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a social care provider to join us in the day to day management and support of a 24 hour supported hostel in partnership with our Forensic Outreach Team that includes Forensic Community Psychiatric Nurses, Social Supervisors, Occupational Therapist, Consultant Psychologist and Consultant in Forensic Psychiatry.

The Forensic Hostel is a 24-hour supported hostel founded on the principle of “An integrated approach to recovery”.

The philosophy is to provide an empowering, individualised and recovery focussed community provision for men who no longer require a secure setting.

The aim of the service is to deliver the highest standard of community care to reduce length of stay in hospitals and to facilitate transition into independent living.

The project actively promotes better mental health, well-being and social inclusion.

There is input from service users in planning, governance, delivery of care and in the day-to-day running of the unit.
