The brief

North East Lincolnshire Council (NELC) wish to engage the market through Preliminary Market Consultation (PMC) to help shape the new service for Special Educational Needs & Disabilities Information Advice & Support Service (SENDIASS).

By engaging with the market NELC are looking to seek views on how we can reshape and evolve the service to meet our strategic outcomes.

This is aimed to be aligned to the skills and learning strategic outcomes for all children and young people to be able to access appropriate learning opportunities and a place of education.

It is a legal requirement for Local Authorities to provide an independent information, advice and guidance service for parents/carers where their child has SEND.

This is outlined within the SEND Code of Practice (2015) As such NELC are inviting providers to attend a virtual PMC event on 18th August 2021 to have an open discussion with us to help shape and design future commissioning plans.
