Alternative Energy Markets: Trial Design

The Invitation to Tender (ITT) will seek to procure a contractor to support BEIS in the design of the trial phase of the Alternative Energy Markets (AEM) Programme.

We are exploring options for the AEM programme that will create a real-world testing environment for potential reforms to upstream energy price signals (network & policy costs), which will affect how consumers are charged for energy.

This environment could test what innovative services and tariffs energy suppliers and other providers can offer and how these incentivise consumer energy choices that support cost-effective decarbonisation.
