Blackpool Council and NHS Blackpool jointly commission a Community Equipment Service for Adults and Children across Blackpool, which is administered by Blackpool Equipment Service (BES).
Clinical services are provided by Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Nursing Services and Trusted Assessors.
The provision of equipment is jointly funded by the Council and NHS Blackpool.
Each year, Blackpool Equipment Service purchases a wide range of equipment totalling around 1.2 million pounds.
Blackpool Council and Blackpool Clinical Commissioning Group (BCCG) are seeking to appoint a Supplier/s to supply the following assistive equipment lots.
Lot 1 - Hire of Hoists and Slings - a single supplier to provide a range of hoists and slings (Approx. value 144k pa).
Lot 2 – Hire of Children’s Beds - a single supplier to provide a range of Children’s beds and accessories (Approx. value 60kpa).
Servicing and maintenance of equipment is included in the scope of each lot.
Further information is included in the accompanying tender documents for each lot.
The appointed Supplier/s for each lot will: • Be required to work collaboratively with Commissioners, Blackpool Equipment Service, Clinicians and other partners to deliver an effective, innovative and responsive service. • Continually review the marketplace identifying new and emerging products, informing and advising Commissioners and Clinicians on those offering best value.
