In 2017 the HMS Warrior Preservation Trust merged with the National Museum of the Royal Navy (NMRN), following the merger the NMRN conducted surveys of Warrior’s electrical systems and identified that it requires extensive rewiring work.
Previously in 2018 a tender was advertised but was not awarded following feedback from the submitted bids.
The NMRN are seeking to rewire HMS Warrior to bring all electrical systems on board to current standards, these include; - Refurbishment and upgrade of lighting within historic replica lamps on board. - Full rewiring of the ships electrical system, including shore side on the Jetty. - Replacement of; LV/Small Power Systems Fire Alarm System (to L5 standard and L1 performance) PA System Mast Downlights CCTV System Leak Detection and other alarms on board - There is a requirement for the heating system circuits of HMS Warrior to undergo rewiring also.
These requirements may change in scope so this is currently indicative of at the time of writing.
