The brief

East Sussex County Council as the upper tier authority is responsible for overseeing and managing the new Government 'Multiply' Programme, raising adult numeracy skills for those aged 19+, up to Level 2 across the county The programme is split into eleven lots as detailed below; there is no limit to the number of lots that a bidder can apply for: • Lot 1a - Peripatetic maths provision in small groups at outreach venues to target hard to reach learners • Lot 1b - One-to-one maths support for employability • Lot 2 - One-to-one numeracy support via personal finances and benefit calculation sessions • Lot 3a - Bitesize maths for business • Lot 3b - Bitesize numeracy skills for employees of land-based sector businesses who lack a level 2 numeracy qualification. • Lot 3c - Bitesize numeracy for East Sussex priority sectors. • Lot 4a - Numeracy in tickets to work for those who are unemployed and keen to gain the maths and vocational skills to move them into employment in key East Sussex sectors. • Lot 4b - Numeracy in horticulture for those who are 'hard to reach' and unemployed and lack a level 2 numeracy qualification. • Lot 4c - Numeracy in horse and/or animal care for those who are 'hard to reach' and unemployed and lack a level 2 numeracy qualification. • Lot 5a - Numeracy in music for those who are furthest from the workplace and may have complex needs. • Lot 5b - Numeracy through digital skills for those who are furthest from the workplace and may have complex needs.
