The brief

The Client has a statutory duty to deliver core Highway Lighting, Illuminated & Electrical Assets maintenance.

The Client also intends that this Contract facilitates a flexible mechanism for the Contractor to identify and implement innovative services, solutions, promote recycling and re-use, and reduce the environmental impact of the services delivered throughout the lifetime of the Contract.

The Contract will support the Client’s Climate Emergency Strategy and commitment to being carbon neutral by 2030.

In each year of the Service Period, the Contractor will deliver an annual, Cyclical Maintenance schedule for Highway Lighting, Illuminated & Electrical Assets to maintain in line with details contained within. a.

This will include the attendance of Street Lighting, illuminated & electrical Assets principally for the purpose of maintaining and repair of the asset.

It will also typically include the necessary ancillary works, traffic management and road space booking required to successfully complete the individual project. b.

This will require liaising with the Client to develop a programme of works for each year of the Service Period and working constructively to manage change through the programme year The form of contract for the service is the NEC4 Term Service Contract (TSC4) using Main Option A.
