The submission route named on the official notice.
NNL has directly commissioned energy systems analysis projects previously.
In establishing a Collaboration Centre however, we aim to leverage NNL’s investment of £1 million to deliver a total value of over £5 million by drawing in contributions from - and aligning activities with – other non-nuclear organisations and initiatives.
This directly aligns with the strategic intent set out in the NNL Strategic Plan through the Clean Energy Focus Area (CEFA) and the Science and Technology (S&T) Agenda for development of Collaboration Centres that harness the resource and capability from a range of organisations and leverage funding and knowledge for greater overall impact on achieving decarbonisation and net zero by 2050.
The IESCC will build on and complement existing UK initiatives and capabilities.
As such, the Supplier must be able to demonstrate access to a credible integrated energy system modelling capability for the duration of the five-year programme.
