The National Police Air Service (NPAS) is reviewing the feasibility of being able to deliver police air support across England and Wales via a combination of Rotary Aircraft, Fixed Wing Aircraft and RPAS.
The initial requirement of this project is to conduct a review of a draft NPAS police air support delivery/deployment model.
This will aid the understanding of demand and how and where RPAS with BVLOS capability could enhance service delivery as part of a blended fleet.
An initial analysis of historical NPAS operational data will be presented to the preferred bidder (selected through this tender) by NPAS.
This data will be overlaid with the performance parameters of potential RPAS capabilities.
Each recommended site will then be classified as accepted or rejected and a list provided of the improvements/changes that would need to be implemented for a site to become fully capable of being operational.
The successful implementation of this project, may lead to further work.
