NHS North West London requires the provision of Wheelchair services and would like to invite any interested suppliers to a market engagement event on 5th September 2023, from 12:30 – 13:30 via MS teams.<br/> <br/>The objective of this engagement is to help the commissioner finalise the service model, procurement strategy, and financial model.<br/> <br/>Email devesh.panchal@nhs.net by 17:00, 1st September 2023 to register.<br/> <br/>Market Engagement<br/><br/>The aim of the service is to provide a comprehensive quality service of assessment, supply and maintenance/repair of wheelchairs and associated seating equipment for users who are registered with a GP in NWL ICB encompassing the following elements:<br/>1.
Equipment provision and maintenance<br/>2.
Repairs<br/>3.
Planned preventative maintenance (PPM) of powered and Manual chairs<br/>4.
Staffing<br/> <br/> <br/>The Service will provide:<br/>-Assessment, prescription and provision of manual and powered wheelchairs, and associated postural accessories;<br/>-Repair and maintenance services; and<br/>-Rehabilitation engineering services<br/> <br/> <br/>The service will deliver the following key elements:<br/>-Provision of the wheelchair and associated equipment within agreed timescales to the Service User;<br/>-Provision of on-going support and advice to Service Users (or carers if appropriate) in the use of their wheelchair and seating;<br/>-Maintenance of equipment, emergency repairs, planned preventative maintenance, storage of wheelchairs, collections, deliveries and service for re-issue of wheelchairs and associated postural seating equipment;<br/>-Accurate and up to date information on wheelchair availability and variety;<br/>-Accurate and up to date records on assessment, provision, re-assessment, discharges, repairs & maintenance, collection, recycled and decontamination & decommissioned wheelchairs;<br/>-Cost and operational efficiencies through effectively managing stock and service delivery for the Service Users.
