Charge point operator engagement May 24: Luton Council has been awarded £1.27 million Local Vehicle Infrastructure (LEVI) funding from The Office for Zero Emission Vehicles to develop the public electric vehicle charging network in Luton.

The funding will be used to accelerate the commercialisation in Luton’s public EV charging network through attracting high levels of private investment.

To utilise this funding the council is required to demonstrate strategic development of the chargepoint network, delivering chargepoints ahead of demand, to support those residents without access to off-street parking make the transition to electric vehicles.

To assist us in developing our LEVI project we would like new or established chargepoint operators to answer a number of project specific questions The Intention is , once approval has been granted by the LEVI Project, to undertake a 2 stage process , a CCR16 Concession tender will take place later in the year, before October 2024.
