Provision of: Amyloidosis Networked Model of Care
NHS England, Highly Specialised Services (referred to as the Commissioner) is awarding to suitably qualified and experienced providers for the Provision of Amyloidosis Networked Model of Care services, following a Competitive Process.
NHS Arden and Greater East Midlands CSU (AGCSU) is acting as an agent for and on behalf of the Commissioner and is supporting the provider selection process.<br/><br/>Amyloidosis is the name for a group of rare, serious conditions caused by a build-up of an abnormal protein, called amyloid, in organs and tissues throughout the body.
The build-up of amyloid proteins (deposits) can make it difficult for the organs and tissues to work properly.<br/><br/>The key objectives of the Competitive Process was to commission a networked model of care for Amyloidosis services to establish four regional centres under this initial process.
This is to ensure a good level of access in place that is able to meet the expected demand for the service. <br/><br/>The regional centres are proposed to be in the:<br/>• Lot 2 - Midlands<br/>• Lot 3 - North West
