The brief

Stoke-on-Trent City Council is currently preparing to initiate a procurement process to appoint a principle contractor to develop and undertake the construction of the Doris Robinson Court site, an affordable residential scheme located in Meir with a council owned bungalow complex in the immediate vicinity, in line with proposed designs with works planned to commence October '25 for a 15-month period completing December '26 The proposals are to provide a 46-unit apartment block for over 55's for independent living, with associated landscaping and parking.

This scheme is submitted to planning for determination around April/May 2025.

Apartments are designed to accessible and adaptable standards and are a mix of one and two bedroom.

The planned Procurement route is to carry out a Single Stage Open Tender due to the sites current position in its programme.
