Historic Building Energy Performance Potential - Demonstrator Project (NP 270) [Request For Information (RFI)]
The procurement contact named on the official notice.
Historic England is conducting market research through the use of a Request For Information (RFI) to understand if there are suppliers who have the capability and capacity to achieve our requirement.
Background to requirement: This project will review the qualitative and quantitative building performance evaluation data gathered for six historic buildings of traditional construction, the 'demonstrator projects', to enable the critical appraisal of the assumed and measured data, and related advice presented in Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs) for traditional buildings.
The project aims to contextualise and critically appraise the Domestic Energy Assessment (DEA) data for each of the 'demonstrator project' against quantitative and qualitative in-situ Measured Energy Performance (MEP) data, to: - provide evidence-based proposal(s) for the development of the current EPC system to enable the implementation of considered, appropriate and resilient energy efficiency improvements, with positive outcomes against the EPC scoring methodology and MEES requirements. - identify the most beneficial (in both accuracy and cost) MEP tools to ensure an accurate and comprehensive energy performance assessment of historic buildings of traditional construction and the value of implementing these to inform decisions of necessary and appropriate energy efficiency improvement 'recommendations' - develop a standardised template to record the depth and breadth of data required by the DEA and broader MEP processes.
Enabling robust and comparable information to be collected on this and further projects in the future.
