Adult Mental Health Stepdown Services - Pilot
The Contracting Authority (LPFT) has experienced an increasing number of out of area acute inpatient placements for a sustained period, with significant pressure on the urgent care pathway, increasing length of stay on wards and challenging flow.
One of the schemes in development is to utilise an empty LPFT unit for step-down accommodation, namely Ashley House in Grantham that was previously an open rehabilitation inpatient unit.
This unit has 15 beds available for use: Ground floor has n=2 accessible bedrooms with a shared wet room / toilet.
The upper floor accessed by stairs has n=6 bedrooms with ensuites.
The remaining bedrooms n=7 share toilet / shower facilities on their corridor.
This service requires a Provider to deliver step-down provision for patients that are clinically ready for discharge.
