The brief

Stoke-on-Trent City Council is planning to establish a framework to carry out small adaptations in people's homes (to the value of £1000 or less) for the term of 3 years, e.g. supply and fitting of grab rails, external metal handrails, shallowing steps, widening doors and/or rehanging doors.

There are various specs and requirements to these adaptations with the result keeping people safe and independent at home.

Contractors will be required to submit a schedule of rates for standard requirements and requirement to submit a quotation on case-by-case requirements.

Contractors will be required to provide risk assessments for each property.

Contractors' employees will be required to demonstrate basic asbestos awareness training.
