Agency Backup and Archive Solution
The procurement contact named on the official notice.
This sits in the upper-middle of the Software & IT Systems band — a substantial contract for the sector. Based on 30,286 valued Software & IT Systems tenders in our corpus.
The MHRA wishes to purchase software to ensure it has a working backup and archiving solution deployed.
The Agency is seeking to establish a working solution that can support a variety of backups across a range of platforms – from our most critical applications that must be highly available, to archives that are kept only to meet regulatory requirements.
The Agency requires a comprehensive backup and archive strategy, emphasizing efficiency and effectiveness in data management.
A unified ‘single pane of glass’ management console is needed to provide the Agency with a consolidated view of its backup and archive estate and status.
The Agency requires either a single solution or one that is minimal in number and the Agency wants to avoid managed services.
The solution should seamlessly integrate with both on-premises and cloud storage.
For the avoidance of doubt, any information provided to the MHRA in response to this RFI will be treated as confidential and non-binding.
No contract will be awarded as a consequence of this RFI process, however, the MHRA may launch a procurement opportunity in the near future.
Responding to this RFI is not a prerequisite for participation in a subsequent procurement, nor does it give any advantage in that procurement.
The MHRA would welcome responses to this RFI in order that the MHRA can build an understanding regarding the current and future provision of the project.
