The London Borough of Bromley ("the Council") is inviting tenders from potential providers with the relevant experience and technical ability to deliver INDEPENDENT VISITORS SERVICE FOR CHILDREN LOOKED AFTER.

Independent Visitors provide a support and befriending service to children and young people who are in care.

The primary aims of the Independent Visitor is to: 1.1 Visit, advise and befriend the young person, taking a long-term interest in their welfare and development.

This is achieved through regular visits.

1.2 To provide a consistent adult figure in the young person's life, when there is no family member able to take on this role.

1.3 To facilitate and support the development of children and young people to develop meaningful relationships.
