The brief

Monmouthshire County Council intends to appoint a contractor to manage and deliver an underwater inspection programme over a five-year period, commencing in 2025 and concluding in 2030.

The programme will involve annual inspections of 23 structures located within Monmouthshire.

The contractor will be responsible for: Arranging and carrying out inspections Producing inspection reports in accordance with CS 450 standards Inspection arrangements will include, but are not limited to: Programming and access planning (e.g. dive teams, CCTV, confined space entry) Preparation of risk assessments and method statements Public liaison (including letter drops and residential access coordination) Traffic and pedestrian management Provision of welfare facilities Inspections must be carried out in accordance with ecological requirements.

Ecological surveys completed in 2018 are provided in the Site Information.

The contractor will be required to update this ecological data once per structure during the contract period.

655, which was not included in the 2018 surveys, will require a new ecological assessment.
