CMCV 115 - Development and Resourcing of Provision for Targeted (Early Help) Short Breaks for Children with Disabilities
The procurement contact named on the official notice.
Shropshire Council commissions a variety of Short Breaks services aimed at supporting children and young people with disabilities up to the age of 18.
These services are designed to offer enriching experiences for children while provide parents and carers with a break.
Short Breaks encompass a broad spectrum of activities, including after-school programs, weekend events, school holiday engagements, and overnight stays.
They provide valuable opportunities for children to develop independence, confidence, and social skills within and outside their families.
Following a recent review, parents and families highlighted the importance of a Short Breaks service that offers flexibility, choice, and accessibility.
An evolving model needs to be able to adapt to families' changing needs, connect with other services, and facilitate resilience and early intervention where possible.
Co-production, clear communication and partnership working is key to promoting activities and ensuring services meet need.
All-in Short Breaks are part of our Early Help services.
They are available to children aged up to their 18th birthday who live in Shropshire and have a disability that prevents them accessing universal services without additional support.
A Social Work Assessment is not required but children do need to be a registered member of the All In in order to access activities.
The aim of the programme is to offer a range of opportunities for All In Sport, Arts and Culture, Social Connectivity, Independence building and friendships.
The contract will be for an initial period of 3 years commencing on the 1st April 2026 with the option to extend for a further period of up to 2 (1+1) years.
Contract Value is a maximum: £167,000 per year To view this notice, please click here: https://www.delta-esourcing.com/delta/viewNotice.html?noticeId=976900418
