Southend-on-Sea City Council (SCC) seeks to engage the market through this Pre-Tender Market Engagement (PTME) exercise in preparation for the potential procurement of a supplier(s) for the for the supply, installation, maintenance, repair and servicing of home-based Adaption equipment.

This equipment will likely include a variety of Hoists, Slings, Bariatric Beds and Chairlifts.

The selected supplier(s) will be commissioned to supply, install, repair, maintain and service new or refurbished the following home-based adaption equipment (subject to change): • Celling Track Hoists • Mobile Hoists • Vertical Through Floor Lifts • Shower/Bath Lifts • Grab Rails • Bariatric Beds This equipment will be for the use of Southend-on-Sea residents who have been identified to be in need of home adaptation requirements, and will delivered to both private and Council properties with agreed scheduled services and repairs including 24-hour callouts and rapid responses.

Through this PTME, Southend-on-Sea City Council aims to: • Prepare the market for the potential upcoming tender opportunity, and to ensure suppliers have the opportunity to sign-up to the Council's e-sourcing platform. • Understand the market's appetite to be involved in the potential upcoming tender opportunity. • Understand the capacity of the market and timescales for the delivery of the required services. • Refine the service specification and deliverable to ensure that the service is achievable, practical and effective for our residents who will benefit from its delivery. • Understand opportunities, costs and risks associated with delivering these services.
