The brief

Overview: Southend-on-Sea City Council (SCC) seeks to engage the market through this Pre-Tender Market Engagement (PTME) exercise in preparation for the potential procurement of a single supplier for the for the supply, installation, maintenance and servicing of Stairlifts and Specialists Lifts.

The selected supplier will be commissioned to supply, install and service new or refurbished straight and curved track Stairlifts and Specialists Lifts for Southend-on-Sea residents who have been identified to be need of home adaptation requirements, and will delivered to both private and Council properties with agreed scheduled services and repairs including 24-hour callouts and rapid responses.

Through this PTME, Southend-on-Sea City Council aims to: • Prepare the market for the potential upcoming tender opportunity, and to ensure suppliers have the opportunity to sign-up to the Council's e-sourcing platform. • Understand the market's appetite to be involved in the potential upcoming tender opportunity. • Understand the capacity of the market and timescales for the delivery of the required services. • Refine the service specification and deliverable to ensure that the service is achievable, practical and effective for our residents who will benefit from its delivery. • Understand opportunities, costs and risks associated with delivering these services.
