The brief

The Mining Remediation Authority have two Mine Water Treatment Scheme (MWTS) sites with solar PV installed that have missing or damaged solar panels.

The sites are Dawdon MWTS and Bates MWTS.

Both of these sites share the same 270w solar panels, in terms of manufacturer and model number.

We would like to relocate missing panels from Dawdon MWTS with panels located at Bates MWTS.

Sourcing rationale A total of four quotes were requested and three were received from local SMEs.

A comparison matrix was compiled, assessing cost, capacity, and overall suitability to determine the best fit supplier.

This approach was selected over a full tender process as the contract value falls below the relevant threshold, allowing a more proportionate and efficient procedure
