The brief

East Riding of Yorkshire Council wishes to offer to the market the opportunity to run a nursery at Bridlington Family Centre, Shaftsbury Road in Bridlington, under a concession contract with an associated lease.

Following over seven years of being successfully run by the current provider in conjunction with their other local nursery, the current provider has decided to focus on the other site has given notice to the Council to terminate their lease.

The nursery is well attended by local families and has good links with the family centre that it shares the building with.

The Council wishes the nursery to be operated by an organisation that is experienced at running quality nursery provision for those aged under one year to 5 years.

The nursery is currently Ofsted registered and the new provider will be required to ensure Ofsted registration is obtained promptly to ensure that there is a continuity of service for those families currently using the service.

The Council recognises that there is a tight timetable and will work with the successful provider to ensure a smooth transition.
