Kirklees Council is embarking on the development of a new Museum and Art Gallery in Huddersfield, a flagship component of 'Our Cultural Heart' (OCH) a transformative town centre regeneration programme supported by significant capital investment.
The broader construction initiative, currently entering RIBA Stage 4, will see the extension and full refurbishment of the 1937 Central Library & Art Gallery building, reimagined as the future Museum & Art Gallery of Huddersfield.
As part of its ambitions under the 'Our Cultural Heart' (OCH) programme Home, Kirklees Council is seeking market feedback as part of its preparations for a procurement opportunity to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced organisation to deliver the design and fit out of the exhibition and gallery spaces within the new Huddersfield Museum & Art Gallery.
