Hanwell Chapel Refurbishment Works
The Council is seeking a suitably qualified Contractor to complete the external refurbishment works to Hanwell Chapel, a grade II listed building.
The works include roof repairs to the vestry areas (including joist replacement), exterior stonework repairs, replacement rainwater goods and new fencing to the catacombs area.
The work is required as the building is currently subject to water ingress and damp, without these works both the interior and exterior of the building will continue to deteriorate and result in more serious damage.
The fencing is required to protect the structural integrity of the catacombs.
The Planning and Listed Building consent for the works has been applied for, and decision is pending.
The award of contract is subject to the necessary Planning and Listed Building Consent being approved.
