Westborough & Park Barn - Engagement Consultant

Guildford Borough Council is seeking an Engagement Consultant to support the early stages of the Westborough & Park Barn Better Homes Programme - a Council-led initiative to develop a long-term strategy for improving housing quality, sustainability, and community facilities across two adjacent estates.

The strategy will be developed through meaningful community engagement and may lead to future works such as home upgrades, redevelopment, and public realm improvements.

The consultant will lead resident engagement across RIBA Stages 0-2 during the development of the strategy, starting with early community conversations to shape a shared vision and define the brief for design and technical work.

The Stage 0 findings will also determine the level of engagement needed in later stages (e.g. consultation, participatory design, or co-design).

Working closely with the Council's project and communications teams, the consultant will plan and facilitate engagement activities, coordinate feedback with the design team, and ensure residents' views are clearly reflected in emerging proposals.
