This notice is placed as a Market Engagement Notice to inform the market of Oxford Health NHS FT intention to commission mental health supported accommodation.
The Trust would like to understand the level of interest in delivering these services, and engage with suppliers to support the development of the tender packages, including specifications.
The final sourcing route and contract model to deliver the provision is to be determined as part of pre-market preparation activities.
The geography covered is Oxfordshire.
It is anticipated that the following services will be required and OHFT are still deciding if this is through one provider or more: High Dependency CQC Bed Base: a service for individuals requiring ongoing clinical treatment, particularly those lacking capacity for health decisions or needing deprivation of liberty safeguards.
It is intended as a short-term, clinically focused intervention to facilitate step-down to less restrictive settings.
Approx 8-12 units Community Rehabilitation Provision: The community rehabilitation component will be a partnership between Oxford Health and housing providers, targeting people with complex psychosis and dual diagnosis.
Clinical teams would provide enhanced, but not fully embedded, support, and that the model would include both self-contained and shared housing options.
Some support will be 24/7, 7 days a week.
Approx 20-25 units Some will be 7 days a week 9-5.
Approx 30-40 units Mental Health Supported Accommodation: for people with severe and enduring mental illness nearing independent living, with support focused on tenancy skills, relapse prevention, and daily living.
Provision would also be available for who those people had reached their optimal functional capacity and needed longer term support.
Some support will be core staffed 9-5 with on call at night.
Approx 50-60 units Some will be visiting support only plus on call phone line.
Approx 25-35 units
