This is a contract result notice, not an open opportunity. Details from the official award data.
The procurement contact named on the official notice.
Wyre Council is inviting quotations to prepare a design for the widening of the promenade to Rossall beach, North Promenade, Thornton-Cleveleys, FY5 1DW.
As part of the 'Cleveleys Area' project, the Client intends to enhance the existing promenade by extending it seawards.
This extension aims to facilitate easier pedestrian and cycle movements along the promenade, which is currently restricted by its limited width.
The adjacent road and residential properties further limit the possibility of an inward design solution.
It is intended that these works will be instructed to the Contractor while they are on site.
The 'Cleveleys Area' has a Sectional Completion Date of 16th December 2026.
Therefore, the Pre-Construction Design, including the associated planning application and discharges, must be aligned to facilitate the commencement of construction works by April 2026.
