Ceredigion County Council is making a Direct Award to Common Works to carry out design-led feasibility studies for two sites in Llandysul.

While neither site is associated with a live development project, the studies will support the Council in assessing the potential for future development.Common Works will explore potential uses for each site, considering planning, design, economic viability, and community impact.

The work will include site analysis, stakeholder engagement as required, high-level concept design options, and reporting to inform the Council’s decision-making on whether and how future development may proceed.The contracting authority previously commenced a competitive procurement for this requirement, advertised under a UK4 tender notice.

That procurement was terminated without award by way of a UK12 Procurement Termination Notice due to no bids being received.As no bids were received, the authority has determined that it is appropriate to proceed with a direct award in accordance with the Procurement Act 2023.Mae Cyngor Sir Ceredigion yn rhoi Dyfarniad Uniongyrchol i Common Works i gynnal astudiaethau dichonoldeb dan arweiniad dylunio ar gyfer dau safle yn Llandysul.

Er nad yw'r naill safle na'r llall yn gysylltiedig â phrosiect datblygu byw, bydd yr astudiaethau'n cefnogi'r Cyngor i asesu'r potensial ar gyfer datblygu yn y dyfodol.Bydd Common Works yn archwilio defnyddiau posibl ar gyfer pob safle, gan ystyried cynllunio, dylunio, hyfywedd economaidd, ac effaith gymunedol.

Bydd y gwaith yn cynnwys dadansoddi safle, ymgysylltu â rhanddeiliaid yn ôl yr angen, opsiynau dylunio cysyniadol lefel uchel, ac adrodd i lywio penderfyniadau'r Cyngor ynghylch a all datblygiad yn y dyfodol fynd rhagddo a sut.Dechreuodd yr awdurdod contractio gaffael cystadleuol ar gyfer y gofyniad hwn yn flaenorol, a hysbysebwyd o dan hysbysiad tendr UK4.

Terfynwyd y caffael hwnnw heb ddyfarnu trwy Hysbysiad Terfynu Caffael UK12 oherwydd na dderbyniwyd unrhyw gynigion.Gan na dderbyniwyd unrhyw gynigion, mae'r awdurdod wedi penderfynu ei bod yn briodol bwrw ymlaen â dyfarniad uniongyrchol yn unol â Deddf Caffael 2023.
