Seafront Micro-venue
The procurement contact named on the official notice.
The Authority (Tendring District Council) is seeking to refurbish a group of 1930s-1950s seafront buildings-comprising a former Beach Patrol and Public Conveniences block, a covered shelter, and a small hut-located within a designated Conservation Area.
The structures are currently in varying states of disrepair but remain broadly structurally sound.
The project aims to transform these buildings into a new Seafront Micro Venue offering high‑quality cultural and community space.
Works will include building fabric repairs, internal reconfiguration, full M&E upgrades, and conservation‑sensitive refurbishment to create a modern, accessible public venue while retaining key heritage character.
