The brief

Cardiff Council is looking to secure a 6 month recycling contract (with an optional 6-month extension) for the collection and processing of the Household Waste Recycling Centre Wood.

The Council operates two residential HWRCs at Lamby Way (CF3 2HP) and Bessemer Close (CF11 8XH) and a Commercial WTS at Bessmer Close, generating an average monthly tonnage of 480 tonnes, however this tonnage is not guaranteed and is subject to seasonal fluctuations.

The tonnage is available for collection directly from the HWRCs via RORO’s skips (to be provided) or it can be bulk loaded at Cardiff’s Waste Transfer Station, located at the Lamby Way Depot (CF3 2HP).
