West Kent is seeking tenders from suitably experienced and qualified Contractors to carry out works to the lifts at Tennyson Lodge, which is categorised as a “higher risk building” (HRB) for the purposes of the applicable building safety legislation.
The proposal is to replace and modernise the two firefighting lifts to current standards including lift shaft structural assurance and fire stopping.
The lift control panels will be replaced, and the door systems overhauled or replaced.
The lifts will be re wired.
One lift at the location must be kept in operation at all times for the duration of the works by the Contractor.
