The Council of the City of Wakefield
VCSE Trailblazer
The procurement contact named on the official notice.
Wakefield Council is considering options to contract with VCSE organisations to supply services which will encourage more people who are economically inactive to consider employment as future goal.
This project looks to improve, continue and grow the results of the current VCSE engagement programme delivered using Trailblazer funding in 2025/26.
Currently the programme provides Social Prescribing and Counselling services to residents who are economically inactive due to health conditions or disabilities.
The purpose of this market consultation is to assess the interest of VCSE providers in this work and to identify any other services which might be appropriate to this cohort in order to enable an informed decision to be made in relation to any procurement opportunities available to the Council from locally based VCSE organisations from across the district.
