Occupational Health Services - Associated British Ports

Associated British Ports (ABP) is looking to appoint an experienced Occupational Health provider to deliver a consistent, high‑quality service across its UK port locations.
The contract will include responsibility for managing and delivering a wide range of occupational health services, including: • Pre‑employment medical assessments, including drug and alcohol testing • Safety‑critical medicals and ongoing health surveillance • Occupational health referrals and management support • A 24/7 absence reporting and clinical advice helpline • Onsite Essential Health MOT clinics • Physiotherapy (Physio at Work) services • Support with wellbeing campaigns and general occupational health advice The successful provider will be expected to deliver services in line with recognised professional standards and ABP’s Occupational Health Policy.
Assessments will be carried out by appropriately qualified clinicians and may be delivered face‑to‑face, by video, or by telephone, depending on the service and business need.
The service must be available across all ABP’s UK locations, with clinic sites located as close as reasonably possible to employees’ place of work or home to minimise travel and disruption.
The provider will also be expected to supply and manage an occupational health IT system that supports appointment booking, reporting, management information, and secure handling of personal data.
The initial contract will run for 36 months, with the option for ABP to extend the contract for up to a further 24 months (12 months + 12 months).
