The brief

The Royal United Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is exploring options to expand its Radiopharmacy Services to improve access to diagnostics, innovative treatment and research in Southwest England.

Uniquely positioned on the M4/M5 corridor, the Trust has a state-of-the-art Pharmacy build intended to provide a comprehensive range of services including: 1.

Cytotoxics (191 sq ft): mainly production of systemic anticancer therapy (SACT) and clinical trials for Onc/Haem 2.

Monoclonal antibodies (180 sq ft): products for Biologics unit and chemo unit 3.

Radiopharmacy unit (279sq ft): supply for Nuclear medicine diagnostics & treatment 4.

Vacant clean room space originally intended for Gene Therapy (108 sq ft) As part of this appraisal, the Trust is evaluating a range of potential delivery and funding models, including the possibility of a Joint Venture or other form of partnership with a private sector organisation.

The purpose of this soft market testing exercise is to gain insight into: • The level of interest from suppliers and investors in collaborating with the Trust • The range of commercial, technical and operational models available within the market • Key risks, dependencies and potential mitigation approaches • Options that best ensure service continuity • Indicative timelines and delivery pathways This exercise is being undertaken for information gathering purposes only and does not constitute a call for competition or form part of any formal procurement process.

The responses received will be used to inform the Trust’s approach and any potential future procurement activity.

Please note, Royal United Hospitals Bath NHS Foundation Trust reserves the right not to proceed with the procurement once this Pre-Engagement stage has been finalised.
