Preliminary Market Engagement for the provision of Gas and Electricity Contracts

The Council's current Gas Contract expires at the end of March 2027, and the current Electricity Contract expires at the end of September 2028.

These have historically operated as separate Contracts which have been procured via the respective ESPO Framework.

The Council are conducting this Preliminary Market Engagement (PME) exercise in order to support the development of the Specification, Tender, and Contract Documents for the re-procurement of these two Contracts.

However, through this PME, we are also seeking information regarding whether it would be beneficial to combine these Contracts into one Contract and therefore undertaken as one Procurement exercise moving forwards.

The Contract Start and End Dates are purely estimates at this stage, and are subject to change.

They have been based on the expiry date of the Council's current Gas Contract.

The length of Contract is also subject to change i.e., may be greater/less than the stated 4 year period.
