Surface repairs and improvements to the South Downs Way National Trail, Salt Hill, East Meon, Hampshire
The South Downs Way National Trail (SDW) is a 100 mile long-distance path that spans the entire length of the South Downs National Park.
It is a mainly off-road route that is comprised of public rights of way and is well used by walkers, cyclists, and equestrians all-year round.
We have identified a section of path that has deteriorated from heavy use and surface water erosion.
This section requires repair and drainage improvements to maintain the high standard of access along the National Trail.
We also require two metal field gates and a removable bollard to be replaced.
