The final delivery period of GMAP3 will conclude on 31 March 2027.
The UK is working on the design for Global Mine Action Programme 4 (GMAP4), scheduled to run from 1 April 2027 with delivery ending on 31 March 2029, subject to approval of the GMAP4 business case.
Current intent is that GMAP4 will operate in Afghanistan; Cambodia; Laos; Lebanon; Palestine (Gaza); Sudan; Syria; Ukraine and Zimbabwe.
Subject to affordability, we will also deliver programmes in Somalia and Myanmar.
Potential activities may include: - Land survey and clearance. - The provision of Explosive Ordnance Risk Education (EORE). - Capacity development of and partnerships with local operators. - Support to national mine action authorities.
We are holding an early market engagement (EME) event to introduce an overview of GMAP4, gauge interest, and seek feedback and advice from operators prior to finalizing our business case.
The EME will take place virtually at 10:00 – 11:30 AM British Summer Time (BST) on Thursday 16 July.
This event is an opportunity to understand and influence GMAP planning, and to ask questions of FCDO.
Supporting documents will be made available on the FCDO Supplier Portal a minimum of one week prior to the early market engagement event.
The delivery route for each country programme project under GMAP4 (i.e. via a grant or a contract and via single country or multiple country award) has not yet been determined.
Final decisions on countries and country allocations have yet to be made.
Please note that no final decisions have been made about future GMAP multi-year agreements.
