Cambs HIA aims to procure new suppliers for our Equipment Contracts which are divided into the following Lots: Lot 1 - the provision and installation of modular ramps, Lot 2 - the provision and installation of stair and step lifts (this may change to separate lots) Lot 3 - the provision and installation of ceiling track hoists Lot 4 - the provision and installation of automated entry systems Lot 5 - the provision and installation of specialist toilets for use by adults or children with a variety of disabilities.
Lot 6 - the provision and installation of through floor lifts Cambs HIA is a shared council service operating across Cambridge City, Huntingdonshire and South Cambridgeshire - more information about our service can be found on our website www.cambshia.org and on our social media pages.
Suppliers should be able to operate across the three council's geographical areas - at present two thirds of our work is in Huntingdonshire.
The contract will involve the supplier meeting with Occupational Therapists and/or our Agency staff to assess for, design and install specialist equipment which meets our client's needs.
Suppliers should be expert suppliers and installers of the equipment listed above.
We expect our contracts to be advertised in July 2026 and we aim to start our new contacts by 1st November 2026.
The contracts will awarded for an initial two-year period with the option to extend for up to two further years.
Across all Lots it is expected the total contract value will be £4m and a further breakdown by Lot will be provided in the tender documentation.
The event will be led by Frances Swann, Strategic Lead, Cambs HIA and Justin Hicks, Senior Caseworker, Cambs HIA.
An Occupational Therapy representative has also been invited.
