The brief

This is a high-level construction advisory brief for BAM Nuttall Ltd to support programme development for the Wylfa enabling works, specifically in relation to bulk earthworks and platform formation.

The intention is to obtain practical, buildability-led input to inform early programme durations, sequencing strategies, and opportunities to accelerate delivery.

The engagement shall remain deliberately high-level, non-prescriptive, and time-bound, using currently available concept information.

It is not intended to constitute detailed design or a formal instruction.

BAM shall provide advice on constructability, sequencing, and indicative durations for earthworks, considering practical delivery constraints, material movements, and site handover requirements.

The focus shall be on identifying programme durations, key programme drivers, risks, and opportunities for optimisation, rather than validating or developing detailed engineering outputs.

This requirement is being directly awarded to BAM due to: • Urgency – support for the programme, which will enable works for Rolls Royce SMR with early contractor input. • Site knowledge – previous work for Horizon means prior knowledge of earthworks at Wylfa. • Short term – 2-week engagement to provide assumptions for the programme.

All inputs/outputs will be made available to potential bidders for any future earthworks procurements.
