The brief

Cleveland Fire Brigade are currently soft market testing with a view of undertaking a procurement exercise for a supplier to provide and install seat contamination covers.

Fire services required to have seat contamination covers often referred to as 'Clean Cab' Solutions.

These seat covers are specialized, non-porous shields used on fire appliance seats.

They prevent toxic soot, combustion particulates, and off-gassing from exposed PPE from absorbing into standard porous seat fabrics, significantly reducing the risk of dermal absorption and secondary cross-contamination.

These seat covers should be wipe clean, have non-hazardous flame retardants and have decontamination capabilities.

They should be able to with-stand frequent wipe downs.
